2 double bedroomed gite located in a quiet village near Jonzac, Charente Maritime, France. This property is a newly converted stone house adjoining our property. In a beautiful rural setting yet only 6 minutes to Jonzac, supermarkets, leisure centre etc. Is used by friends and family when not rented so furnished to an excellent standard offering a home from home feel.

The property has a shower room with wc and 2 large bedrooms each containing 1 double bed and 1 single bed. One of the bedrooms also a cot so property will sleep 6 plus a baby. Because of our grandchild that stays, a stair gate is also fitted for the top of the stairs. A little balcony looks out from the 1st floor out over the courtyard and gardens.

Downstairs, there is a large lounge which includes a variety of books and dvds for all the family. There is also britsh TV and a mini hi-fi system. There is also a selection of games and puzzles to keep the children amused. A wood burner which heats the whole house is there to keep the chill off should the need arrise! In the kitchen diner there is a table which seats 6 and a fully equiped kitchen including dishwasher, washing machine, gas cooker and steamer.

Outside you will have access to the large gardens and orchard. There is a seating area outside if you wish to dine outside. The splash pool is located in the gardens as well as the rifle range where you can test your shooting skills! There is plenty of parking available.

Although we are adjoining the property, we keep ourselves to ourselves but available should you need us. The cost of electric/gas/water is all included.

Attractions

Jonzac hosts a variety of recreational and leisure facilities. Jonzac itself is a typical french town with a weekly market.

It is also home to 'Les Antilles' which features 2 swimming pools. One is a pool with a wave machine, slides and a large hot tub, the other is a pool with a variety of currents, plenty of hot tubs and a gym for the fitness fanatics. With this side of the complex you can use the exercise equipment and the pool all within one entrance fee. You can dine here and next door is a casino.

Le bais de losiers is also a recreational ground which features water sports, fishing and has a man made beach.

Cognac offers many tours where you can discover the secrets of making Cognac.
