A superb holiday destination in France, with a large swimming pool near Civray, Poitou Charentes.
A detached stone built 4 bedroom cottage sleeping 8 in three double beds and two singles or a smaller stone built cottage sleeping 4 in two double beds. Or for the larger family group you can of course take both the cottages accommodating 12.
Now in our third year these French country cottages provide a peaceful holiday destination for any discerning holiday traveller.
Situated on an old farm, both are completely self contained. Recently refurbished to a high standard and very comfortably furnished. Both cottages include dishwasher, TV, hi-fi, DVD player all utensils etc. with the addition of a laundry room in the larger cottage. With a 12m x 6m fully tiled swimming pool and plenty of space to relax this is the ideal location to enjoy the French summer or if it's too hot (and it can be) there's a stone built covered seating area out of the sun.
Whilst the cottages are detached and private, we reside in the old farmhouse and will be available to help if you need any assistance during your stay. The cottages are cool in the summer and have wood burners and electric heaters to provide for comfortable stays out of the main season. All electric and wood (if needed) is provided in the cost
of your holiday.
Chez Robineau is in a rural location with our nearest neighbours around 400m away. Set just south of Civray, and within about 1.5km of Civray centre we are set in 15,000 sq. m. of gardens, surrounded by yet more fields and woodland but still only 20/25 minutes walk from the market on a Tuesday or Friday and within easy reach of plenty of shops, restaurants and bars.
There are plenty of walks locally a favourite is along the banks of the River Charente and the newly formed towpath.
Not alone in providing gites in France, gite rental now forms part of our income so we will be doing all we can to give a first class service to all of our visitors.
