The stone barn has an upstairs lounge with spectacular views over fields, beams and traditional features. It has its own grounds, fields on 3 sides, and a secluded garden with swimming pool (shared with Chez Lesley). |

The ground floor has a central kitchen with dining area, a bathroom with roll-top bath, 2 twin rooms and a double. Doors open at the back to a patio area with outside table and BBQ, set within a large lawn and shrub garden. The upstairs has a comfortable lounge with 2 large leather sofas, a shower room and a further double room. |

Every season has its magic in the French countryside. In the spring, the garden is full of cherry blossom; summer brings flowers and the vines start to tumble over the low stone walls. In autumn there are abundant grapes and the fields are full of corn and sunflowers; whilst winter strips everythg bare and you can see for miles across the fields. |

Attractions Le Bouex lies in the heart of the French countryside, 40 miles east of Poitiers, and within easy reach of the Loire region and the Brenne national park. It has farmland, rivers, woods and quaint ancient villages, but is also accessible to historic cities like Chartres and Limoges. Go on day trips to the coast at La Rochelle, or just wander through the countryside, enjoying the slower pace of life and stopping off to eat (and drink!) in the village auberges. There is plenty of entertainment for the family - snake island, the eagles at Chauvigny, the Ostrich Farm at Vaux, Futurascope at Poitiers. Also swimming, riding, boating, golf, climbing. |

Fly to Poitiers airport (cheap Ryan air flights) and pick up a car, or cross to Le Havre by ferry and drive south through Le Mans and Tours (approx 4.5 hours). Alternatively, take Eurostar to Poitiers - approx 7.5 hours with one hour stopover in Paris. |
