Our stone built farmhouse, with La Jardin cottage semi detached has a history dating back to the 16th centaury; its open plan beamed living room has a large timbered hearth with a log burning fire, giving you a flavour of a French style traditional farmhouse. The kitchen area with fridge , washing machine, micro-wave gas cooker with hob, crockery, glassware cutlery pots and pans, iron and ironing board and a clothes airier. The living area with comfy sofa and chairs T.V. DVD Player, midi Cd radio cassette players. First floor with two double bedrooms the third room with bunk beds, each room has a selection of books and games. The shower room with wash basin and toilet, has a tiled floor with mats. Jardin gite has its own secluded garden together with garden furniture
Running alongside La Jardin gite is the tasteful barn conversion also built in local stone keeping many of its original beamed features containing two gites, Le Poirier gite and Le Grenier gite. They have spacious accommodation, open plan beamed living area, with comfy sofas and chairs T.V. DVD players, midi Cd radio cassette players, the gates also have wood burning stoves. The kitchen areas with fridge , washing machine, micro-waves gas cookers with hob, crockery, glassware cutlery, pots and pans, iron and ironing board and clothes airers Le Poirier gite, with three spacious bedrooms, one with a double a further two rooms with four single beds. The generous sized bathrooms have shower cubicles, wash basins and toilets

Each of the barn gites have separate patio areas accessed by glazed timbered doors, where you will find a peaceful venue to relax with your after dinner drink on garden lounge’s or a swinging seat
Separated by a low laurel hedge is the children’s secure play area with swings, climbing frame, see-saw, boules and plenty of space for a game of football.The indoor games room situated in the barn with table football table tennis and darts board...Bed linen , hand and bath towels are supplied on weekly basis

Attractions
The town of Hambye is 5klms from La Maison Loufran, with two boulangeries, a butchers, chemist and two hairdressers. Tuesday and Friday sees market day… definitely more hustle and bustle with stalls abundant with fresh fruit and veg , clothes, shoes and a fishmonger,. Nearby is Hambye Abbey founded in the 12th centaury by an order of Benedictine monks, the abbey is set in a peaceful valley surrounded by hills and woodland. Today the majestic ruins of the abbey church and the monastic buildings have been patiently restored to give visitors an insight into medieval monastic life .Throughout the summer, exhibitions and various workshops take place, as well as programmed concerts of medieval and sacred music in the evenings. Coutances lays 20klms North West of Loufran, dominating the town with its stone towers and spiers, is Notre-Dame Cathedral rebuilt in the 13th centaury the building is famous for its extreme elegance. Not to be overlooked are the parks and gardens, with a wide range of garden styles displayed, from simple cottage gardens to grand, floral schemes via walled kitchen gardens, botanical collections, and landscaped “English style” gardens. Coustances reverberates every year to its famous jazz festival “Jazz sous les Pommiers”. The city of Villedieu-les-Poeles 20kms from Loufran was founded in the the 11th centaury by the knights of Jerusalem who arrived from the East bringing their skills in metalwork with them. A flourishing industry developed. For more than 200 years the bell casting tradition has been maintained on the same site, the workshop is open to visitors from February to November. Market day at Villdieu-les-Poeles is on Tuesday. Granville is a lively seaside resort, sailing centre and commercial fishing port, passenger ferries depart from here for the Channel Islands and the Isles de Chausey. Granville is where you will find Christian Dior’s childhood home it’s situated in a remarkable cliff-top garden overlooking the sea and the Channel Islands. The house has been restored in the style of the 1920s and is now home to the fashion Museum, the only museum in France to be dedicated to a fashion designer. The town centre is a buzz with shops, boutiques and quayside restaurants whose speciality is seafood including clams, whelks, scallops, mussels, and oysters from the Manche, visitors will be spoilt for choice with the vast range of cafes and resturants….. well worth a visit. Mont St Michel; this magnificent architectural masterpiece is one of France’s most famous sites. Built on an ancient mount that becomes surrounded by the sea, the town is dominated by its summit, the 11th centaury Abbey
Normandy is marked by the the momentous events of June 1944 D-Day Museums and memorials throughout the region stand as forceful reminders of this decisive period during the Second World War ... nearly 30 cemeteries (including Polish, German, French, British, Canadian, American) hold the remains of almost 100,000 young soldiers who never returned from their service in Normandy-today offering quiet, ordered space for personal reflection by every visitor… young or old.

Booking
1.To reserve the property, the client should complete the booking form and return it together with a 25% deposit. We being the owners on receipt of the booking form and deposit will send a confirmation statement, which will be a formal acceptance of the booking.
Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday unless, prior arrangements have been made..we are flexible.
2.The balance must be paid no less than eight weeks before the first day of arrival.Paymentprefered by International Money Transfer or Euro cheque alternatively Sterling chequue
Reservations made within eight weeks of the start of the holiday require full payment at the time of booking
3.A damage deposit of 150€ is payable on arrival to cover any damage to the property or contents (the property being the house and grounds), although the clients liability is not limited to this amount. The damage deposit will be refunded or accounted for at the end of the holiday.
4.In the event of cancellation prior to eight weeks before the start of the holiday only the booking deposit will be forfeited. Thereafter, cancellation charges will be the full rental. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND INSURANCE FOR BOTH MEDICAL AND PERSONAL COVERS WHICH INCLUDES CANCELLATION CHARGES.
5.The client agrees to be a considerate tenant, to take good care of the property and Its contents and to leave it clean and tidy at the end of the holiday. We reserve the right to deduct cleaning charges from the damage deposit if the property is left in an unacceptable condition.
6.In the event of any property breakdown the client is asked to report to the owners to enable repairs to be affected at the earliest possible time. We will not be liable for any temporary stoppage in the supply of public services to the property nor in respect of any equipment or appliance failure.
7.The rental period will commence at 16.00hrs on the first day and terminate at
10.00hrs on the last day. If you plan to arrive earlier, please inform us and if at all possible we will do our best to have the property ready for you.
