No 36 Les Palombes is a 3 bedroom house on a pedestrianised complex with a living area and kitchenette, downstairs toilet and upstairs bathroom with shower, outdoors we have a fenced patio garden with gas BBQ. There is a secured communal swimming pool.
Set amongst the forests of maritime pines which reach down to the seashore, Lacanau Océan boasts a range of activities.
Cycle paths weave through the forests. There is an International Golf Course and a 9 hole course. A choice of water sports on Lacanau lac. You can do plenty of walking or horse riding taking in the flora and fauna.
Surfing is big in Lacanau Océan, with the town hosting a leg of the ASP world tour during August.
Les Palombes is an excellent base to explore the Medoc vineyards on the Gironde estuary.
The beautiful City of Bordeaux bursting with history and culture is only 40mins away and the centre can easily be reached by tram.
Lacanau Océan truly is a place where there is something for everyone.

Lacanau Océan has a weekly market held in the town on a Wednesday. It sells fine selection of wines, meats, cheese, breads and croissants, to clothes, jewellery,pottery and lots more.

Attractions For the active there is a range of activities, Lacanau is The Gironde Surfing Centre with an ASP contest being held here since 1979. Nearby is an International Golf Course located in the beautiful forest, some holes with a sea view! Riding centres offer beach or forest treks, public Tennis and Squash courts, the Lacanau Lake boasts water sports and boating facilities.
Why not enjoy a relaxing day on the beach followed by a sunset dinner at La Villa Margalex with glorious uninterrupted sea views. Many restaurants offer traditional and regional cuisine, the proximity to the ocean and lake means seafood is in abundance.
Visit the Chateaux of the Medoc wine region. The Bassin D’Arcachon a tidal lake which is a haven for birds. The Bassin is Europes number 1 oyster producing region so there is no shortage of restaurants offering a delicious menu with stunning views! At Cap-Ferret right on the tip of the peninsula you can climb the lighthouse steps, or at Arcachon,walk to the top of the Pilat Dune, a national heritage site which at 105 metres high you can appreciate the sweeping view of the Lake, the vast Pine Forests and the Atlantic Ocean.
Inland there is the picturesque village of Saint-Emillion and it's renowned vineyards. |

We will provisionally book the dates required and send you a booking form which we ask you to complete and return and pay 25% of the holiday costs.
Once we have received the deposit, and the signed booking form is either posted or emailed back we will then confirm the booking.
8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday we ask for the balance plus a £150 security/cleaning deposit. |
