Set in a hamlet on the edge of the medieval village of Bazoges en Pareds, Le Petit Oliver sleeps from six to seven guests. The house overlooks the large gardens and has views towards the swimming pool.
Le Petit Oliver is available all year round and from Summer 2009 is under new management. The owners live in a separate property further along the driveway.
The House
Originally home to the village quarry-master and his family, Le Petit Oliver is now a fully restored three bedroom family house, complete with all modern conveniences. There is ample parking besides the house for several cars.
The house is south facing and has lovely views across the mature gardens. In front of the house is a private tiled terrace - ideal for al fresco dining or winding down after a hard day of sightseeing. There is a barbecue, table & chairs, and a shady porch for those long hot summer evenings.
There is an 8m x 4m above-ground swimming pool in the garden surrounded by a decking area, which is accessed via a gentle slope. The garden also has sun loungers and a picnic table for your comfort. The pool is securely fenced off and full instructions for use are provided upon arrival by the owners. The pool is for sole use of guests to the house.
There is also a childrens play area close to the pool - with swings, climbing ropes and a sand pit.
The house is entered via the large kitchen and dining area. The country-style kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle & toaster. There is enough crockery & cutlery for up to eight guests and the dining table can seat six.
From the dining area, double french doors lead into the comfortable living room, where you will find a TV with UK satellite channels, a DVD player & HiFi and a log fire for those cosy winter evenings. The house is enabled with a secure WiFi network, so if you bring your laptop on holiday you will still be able to pick up your emails or surf the internet. There is access from the living room onto the private terrace.
The three bedrooms can all be found on the first floor. The master bedroom has a wrought-iron bedstead and pine furniture and has lovely views over the garden. The second bedroom also has a double bed and the third bedroom has bunk beds and a further single bed.
In the hallway you will find a large bookcase with lots of holiday reading.
There is a family bathroom with a double sink, toilet, full sized bath with central shower taps and a separate shower cubicle.

We are located in a quiet rural farming area but you may hear occasional noise associated with this type of area.Le Petit Oliver is situated in a small hamlet on the outskirts of the historic medieval village of Bazoges-en-Pareds, which is famous for its magnificent Donjon (Keep). The village is well served with a bar, boulongerie, chemist, grocery store and an excellent and very popular restaurant.
The area surrounding the house is a haven for birds and wildlife, and it is only 10 minute drive to a nearby leisure lake, where you can picnic or fish.
You can also swim there in the summer months. There is another lake nearby with two restaurants. There are many opportunities in the area for horse-riding, fishing, cycling, boating etc. and we are happy to advise on any aspect of your holiday. There are many ancient and historic towns and villages to visit and below we have listed several of the main attractions.
The major tourist attraction of Puy de Fou is only a short drive away and there are many other attractions all within an hours drive - including Le Marais Poitevin, Faymoreau mining centre and The Mervent Forest.
